Keyboard keeps disappering whilst adding billing address on iphone

    I’ve had customers complain that sometimes the the ajax refreshes whilst entering their address and this causes the keyboard to keep disappearing on mobile phones.

    To replicate on iPhone, if you enter a billing address on your demo URL above, and then try and change the postcode to a different postcode the keyboard will disappear after a second or so. It seems to be the same for Town / City etc too.

    I assume it’s checking to make sure the field has been filled correctly to add the green tick. Is there a way to extend the time between the checks? Selecting capital letters and numbers for postcode on mobile can be a little time consuming so sometimes you have to click on the same postcode field multiple times before you’ve entered the whole postcode.

    Hi @churchadam,

    I confirm that the problem is happening with the postcode and other fields as well.

    It happens because Fluid Checkout needs to update shipping methods and other areas of the checkout form while the user is typing and the current field in focus is also replaced, causing the focus to be lost momentarily.

    The plugin tries to re-set the focus to the same field and position, however, this does not seem to be enough.

    I’ll test a solution where the current field is not replaced during the updates to avoid this problem.

    I let you know about any progress or when an update is available.

    I just released the update 2.0.6 which fixes this issue and others related to the user experience on mobile devices.
