• Hi, in transferring text from my old block and posting it into the new gutenberg editor, i have a few questions…

i was wondering why there isn’t a keyboard shortcut for ‘convert to block’,,,i end up having to perform this action a lot as i transfer text from old wordpress blog in pre-selected chunks.

for each one, i’d then have to click on the ‘3 vertical dots dropdown’ at the top and scroll to ‘convert to block’.

a keyboard shortcut would be really convenient and i notixed that the other command selections on the dropdown to have associated keyboard shortcuts

the other question i had for my manual text transfer what that thet once i converted to block, it would automatically divide the text chunk paragraoh into individual lines.

so if i had a 4-line paragraph and past into editor i get a single classic block.

when i convert to block, i now have 4 paragraph blocks.

id rather have more control in when i separate blocks.

and as i get used to gutenberg i find that id much rather copy entire text into one block and then make my own splits as necesssary just by hitting ‘enter’ when cursor is in front of what i want to be the first word of the next block.

instead, in order to recombine text sections after they split into single blocks, i have to cut + paste the text from second block into first block … or hit ‘backspace’ to combine the blocks. id orefer the first method. any suggestions? thanks!
