    Hello,

    We suspect that you are referring to meta keywords. The meta keywords feature has been removed in Yoast SEO for WordPress v6.3. Meta keywords haven’t had any use for ages. As the web became more commercial, people started spamming this keywords element and search engines began ignoring it.

    In 2009, Google officially confirmed that they didn’t use them. We kept the feature up but now, after all these years, it is the time to say goodbye to the old meta keywords box in our plugin. Read why we don’t use meta keywords and why you shouldn’t either for further information on the topic.

    Thanks!

    Is it possible i get back the meta keyword option? because I need to show keywords on my website page source code. help me with some options?

    Hi @arnab28!

    We understand you need to output meta keywords. Unfortunately, Yoast does not have a way to generate the meta keywords. However, we suggest reviewing the WordPress plugin repository for a plugin that can best match your needs:?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/. There might be a plugin that can output meta keywords.

    Thanks for your response. but I saw your suggested plugins but those are not SEO-related plugins and there are no options for added meta keywords.
    is it possible can I add some custom code in Yoast SEO to enable the meta keyword section?
    if your answer is yes can you help me out to provide the custom code?

    Hi @arnab28

    You are welcomed to edit the plugin and make changes to suite your needs. However, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

    We highly recommend checking out?our list of Yoast Partners here https://yoast.com/yoast-partners/ in case you are in need of development.

    We will also keep this issue open for 1 week in case someone from the community can help. Perhaps a developer watching these forums can assist further. After which, we will close in order to keep the overview.

    Then can I not use the old version of the Yoast SEO plugin there I am using the meta keyword section?

    is it a good way to solve my problem?

    @arnab28 You are free to use an older version of the plugin. However, we don’t recommend using an out of date version of the plugin because it will likely cause compatibility issues. As time goes on, it’s possible for an old version of the plugin to become incompatible with either the current version of WordPress, or another plugin or theme.

    @arnab28 Thanks for your reply.

    Can you please explain why you believe these errors are related to the Yoast SEO plugin?
