After updating the Yoast SEO plugin to the newest version (4.2.1), my keywords disappeared from the Yoase SEO settings on my text pages. Also the green / orange / red ‘lights’ dissapeared so I don’t know what my page score is!

How can I add a keyword to my pages now?

  • I had the same issue in 4.2 and just had to go back to the settings> “titles & metas” section then “enabled analysis” and re-enable readability and keyword items there.

I’ve tried to re-enable the readability and keyword items in the “enabled analysis” section, but unfortunately this didn’t work for me.

If the meta box is missing entirely, please try the suggestions here: Yoast SEO meta box is missing

If the meta box appears but part or all is blank, please try the suggestions here: Yoast SEO meta box is blank

    Thank you for your reply.

I’ve tried to change the advanced settings but even here the options ‘Meta box’ are all set to ‘Show’. When I look at a specific page, I can set a title and description, only my meta keywords are missing. Also I can’t see the red / orange / green bullets anymore.

Hi Folks since the 4.2.1 the plugin has stopped functioning. In brief there is no data (usually displayed in the right hand side of the admin section). We still have the grading lights (SEO & Readability) on the admin panel but each page does not display any data apart from the data entry section.

    Hope that helps.

Is the meta keyword feature enabled? Enable Meta Keywords in Yoast SEO

Does the meta keyword field show but doesn’t have previously created keywords?

Could you provide a screenshot of the issue?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I’ve enabled the keyword feature in the ‘Other’ tab, it’s still not working…
    Here are my settings:

Here you can see that there is no ‘Meta keywords’ tab on my page:

Looks like the keyword analysis may be disabled. Please check the following:

Admin > SEO > Titles & Metas : Is Keyword analysis enabled?
Admin > Users > Your Profile: Is Disable SEO analysis UNchecked?

I saw that the option ‘Disable SEO analysis’ was checked on my profile. Unchecked it and now my problem is solved!

    THANK YOU!
