  • Oi, didn’t see you there. Thanks for the tip, it is indeed exactly what I am looking for.

    Oh, and good work on your plugin, despite me not using it ??

    UPDATE:
    Due to numerous complaints (2 or 3 actually) that KGArchives is generating huge amount of queries (true), I have released an update.

    KGArchives v1.3 is almost a complete rewrite and is 99% efficient (generates only 4 queries as opposed to 3x your the number of posts) and faster (less db queries, less time to render).

    The upgrade can be downloaded at https://katesgasis.com/downloads/kgarchives-1_3.zip.

    UPDATE:
    Version 2.0 released.
    Used SAJAX backend.

    Demo is here.
    Download here.

    UPDATE:
    Version 2.1 released.
    Dropped the SAJAX backend – too bloated for a simple task.

    Options to categorized or not, display all months or the current initially, and exclude categories in the result.

    Example:
    <pre>
    <kgarchives categorized=”true” initialmonth=”current” excudecat=”asides” />
    </pre>

    Demo is here.
    Download here.

    im getting an error, but an error that doesnt say its an error. whats wrong is, i put your tags in, and yes i have read the readme file, it it doesnt show up in my categories area. ill tell you how my wp is configured:

    1. i have permalinks enabled.
    2. my archives pages is /archives/
    3. the post slug is archives

    it just doesnt display, at all. when i view source, it just shows the tags i put into the post but still, doesnt show up on the browser.

    and yes, for the obvious question…yes, my plugin is activated.

    Is there a way (in the latest version, 2.9) to get rid of the dropdown? I don’t want/need it, but I love the functionality of being able to exclude categories.

    Yes, it can be hidden. Please leave a comment on the plugin’s permanent page and I’ll send you the modified version.

    Great thanks!

    I have another question… is there a way to get this to work with the Post Levels plugin? (https://fortes.com/2005/12/27/post-levels-10) The private posts aren’t showing up, even when I’m logged in (they’re showing up on my ‘regular’ archive page though)
