Hi Dave, Thanks for your interest, and for posting your issue. First of all, I would advise against tweaking the code. Let me take a look and get back to you.

    Thanks,

    James

    Hi Dave,

It looks like I can correct this behavior in the plugin. I’ll work on it tonight and try to release a new version of the plugin in the coming days that better supports Kindle devices. Thanks for letting me know! I’ll keep you posted so you know when the update is released.

    Thanks Dave!

Thanks James for the great tech support. If I can do anything on my end to help you test on my Kindle Fire let me know.

    Hi Dave,

I’ve released version 1.8 of Device Theme Switcher, which includes some code fixes to better support Kindles as ‘tablets’. Can you please upgrade to version 1.8 of the plugin and try to view your site on your Kindle again? Please let me know the outcome!

    Thanks Dave!

James, PERFECT! My iTouch gets the handheld theme, my Kindle Fire gets the tablet theme and my desktop gets the normal theme. Thanks for the great support and an awesome plugin!

    Hi James,

If I will be using a flash in my website using my ipad3 will the design be okay? I heard that in ipad there’s a problem with showing flash banners since it has a problem with it’s ios… I am hoping for your kind response soon. Thanks.

Hi mariz_p, iOS will not display any Flash-you can search on Google for the reasons why. In my own opinion Flash doesn’t really have any business on the web anymore, but that’s just me. If you’re planning to use Flash in your website then it should only be done in your Desktop theme.

Hope that helps. In the future please open a new support thread if your question doesn’t pertain to the topic at hand. Thanks.
