Klarna Express Checkout Button Active for Out-of-Stock Products

    Hi there,
    I’m writing to report an issue I’ve encountered with the Klarna Express Checkout functionality.

    When a product is out of stock, the Klarna Express Checkout button on the product page remains active and clickable, but it should be disabled or hidden for out-of-stock products.

    This discrepancy could lead to customer confusion and potential issues in the checkout process for items that are not actually available for purchase.

    Are there any settings or code snippets I can implement to correct this behavior?

    Hi Paolo,

    Thanks for letting us know, I have created an internal task for hiding the Klarna Express Checkout button on the product page if the product is out of stock. Unfortunately we do not have any setting or code snippet at the moment.

    The issue regarding the Klarna Express Checkout button being visible on out of stock products is solved in the latest version 3.7.3 of the Klarna Payments for WooCommerce plugin.

    Hi there,
    thank you for the update. I tested the solution, and it works as expected.

    However, I noticed that if I select a product and then deselect it, the Klarna button remains visible and active instead of deactivating as it should. Could you please look into this?

    An update, a fix for hiding the Klarna Express Checkout button when no option is selected on variable products will be included in the next release of the plugin.

    FYI: “[KEC] The Klarna Express Checkout (“KEC”) button will now be hidden on a variable product page until a variant is selected” was included in v3.7.4 released 2024-Oct-23
