Klarna refund

    Hi,

    Thanks for the excellent plugin. How does a Klarna refund work?

    Customer just checked out a 300€ product, with a 3 instalments payment of 100€ each payment. Customer just paid first instalment (100€). We have received the 300€ via Klarna.

    We have just used the refund option on the Woocommerce order details page, and refunded 300€.

    How does Klarna refund work? Will the customer get 100€ back, and Klarna the 300€? Will the remaining two instalments automatically get cancelled by Klarna?

    Hi @dkrahl

    When you process a refund via Klarna, the amount paid by the customer is refunded to them, and the remaining amount is refunded to Klarna, since they sent you the full amount of the payment.

    The remaining installments on the Klarna side will be cancelled.

    When using Klarna, they own the payment relationship with the customer, since it is Klarna that sends you, the merchant, the full amount of the payment upfront.
