Hi there!
I hope you are having a great day!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re encountering problems with the plugin. In order to test this out, I set up an instance of WordPress with the plugin and an old version of the Kleo theme that I had lying around (unfortunately, I don’t have access to the latest version). However, I’m afraid, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue, an icon for the custom menu item did show up. Here’s a screenshot for reference.
This could be because the theme has been updated over time and I’m testing with an outdated version. In this scenario, could you please share the link to a page where you can see this issue so that I can take a closer look?
Also, I’d like to point out that the addition of icons to the BuddyPress profile menu items is not a default BuddyPress feature. The Kleo theme adds custom code to add icons and customize the default menu items. It is the responsibility of the custom code to handle the addition of icons for non-default menu items. As a result, I’m afraid, this cannot be considered as a bug or a defect in the Custom Profile Menu for BuddyPress plugin, as it uses core BuddyPress hooks to add the custom menu items. However, I’d still like to take a look and help you resolve this.
Hope this helps. I’ll be looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Nahid
