Do you have a sample kml file to use as example? I’m trying the [waymark file_url=”…”] shortcode. It does work with your sample gpx file. But not with my kml file. The kml is uploaded to my side. It works perfect with Google Earth and also with the WordPress OSM plug-in. I stripped most of the content, but even a single placemark doesn’t work.

An example kml file would be helpfull.

    Hi @henkna,

I just wanted to update you that I have not yet found a solution to this. I will post here as/when.

I found a workaround: uploaded my kml to an online converter and used the converted file. That works. My original file is very plain so perhaps it misses something. My org file works with Earth, Google maps and osm plugin.
    for now, it works. Thanks

    Hi @henkna,

I’m glad you got that working ??

My original file is very plain so perhaps it misses something.

Would you be able to provide a link to the original file and the converted one? I have a feeling your issue is with Waymark and not the file, as I also encountered problems with KMLs that included certain (perfectly allowable) meta data.

The more examples I can test with the better. It would be good to get this fixed… though so far it has been a head scratcher!

Just updating to say that I believe I have fixed this issue in version 0.9.28.7.
