We want to post and keep updated a list of known plugin and theme conflicts. If you have these plugins installed and are having issues, these may be the cause, so try deactivating them and see if that resolves the issue for now.

If you are aware of a plugin conflict or have details on the ones below, please add any details.

Note that if you are having major issues with 2.0, you can safely rollback to 1.9.13:

    Thanks,
    Erick

BBPRESS. Can cause site crash. Triggers error that looks like: Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/content/deletedactualpath/wordpress/wp-includes/query.php on line 27

MAGIC FIELDS PLUGIN. Can cause site crash. Triggers error that looks like: Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /web/content/wp-includes/query.php on line 27

SOLILOQUY SLIDER PLUGIN. This may cause aspects of our interface to disappear, especially when adding galleries to pages/posts via the new Attach to Post interface.

CONTACT FORM 7. Still trying to determine the effects on this one. I think I’ve seen one example where it seemed to trigger major errors, and another where it just interfered with gallery displays.

  • Ok, found this one: Using ob_start(“ob_gzhandler”); in the theme header – and now your version 2.0.0 breaks the site with an “330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED)”. Removing the compression from the header solves the issue – but slows the site down. Tried to outcomment the lzw module in the plugin without success. Any ideas?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/simplehtmldom/simplehtmldom/simple_html_dom.php on line 987

    I’m running Thesis 1.8.5

Ran into the same conflict and at least 2 Thesis Sites.

    Downgrading….

we’re getting the following error on our home page slider – also the flash uploader is not working

    array(1) { [“display_type”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(20) “Invalid display type” } } Invalid Displayed Gallery

Also appears to be a conflict with Jetpack Mobile. Mobile dropdown menu no longer works after NextGEN 2.0 upgrade.

I am also getting a conflict with Marketpress – i get the query.php error described in the original post.

I have another theme with a broken homepage image slider to add to your list.
The theme is called Boulevard and was purchased from ThemeForest.

I have a separate installation of WordPress in a subdomain of my site that I use for testing plugins and themes. So if anyone needs me for testing anything new against this theme, just let me know.

    additional info:
the problem I have is that as soon as I call an image from the gallery (in picture list) the image comes up but the whole screen blacks out immediately. I have set the mode to lightbox. If I disable WP-Slimbox, the image comes up, but I cannot go to the next one, I have to go back with the browser. If I now choose fancybox, everything runs fine. If I re-activate WP-Slimbox, even with Fancybox set, the problem re-appears. I am using WP 3.6, Nexrgen beta 2.0.2 and WP-Slimbox 1.1.2

    Hi,

I wouldn’t mind giving my credentials, but is it possible to send it to an email address?

I rolled back to the old version since the new one wasn’t working for me and now when I click on a gallery it opens the slideshow for a moment and then it goes black, so I can click on the next slide ??

    Thank you

    Plugin Contributor photocrati

    (@photocrati)

@laspalmas Sure, you can send to: nextgen @ photocrati.com ??

    Thank you!

Conflicts with Jetpack, but only if Jetpack is activated AFTER NextGen. I think it’s conflicting with iFrame Embed for YouTube as well (but only for new posts). Old posts work fine.

I contacted Chris Richardson at Mappress and he mentioned that the issue
appears to be because the NextGen popup window calls some of the WordPress hooks without passing the screen ID.

I use Mappress Pro and Chris was able to send me a copy of 2.40.4 that had a workaround.

NextGen still appears to have issues with FooBox working with certain galleries … for example the Masonry gallery. I activated the default 2013 theme, turned off all plugins except foobox and nextgen / nextgen pro and when an image is clicked in the post, there is no lightbox effect…the image simply loads in the browser.

+1 on the links buttons being grayed out (in FF on Mac). It works in Chrome and Safari. Broken in 3.5.2 and 3.6

The links do work when NextGen 2.0 plugin is deactivated.

i can confirm now that NextGEN Gallery 2.0 is not compatible with TinyMCE
