• I’m troubleshooting a recurring and intermittent issue with my host regarding eAccelerator causing my site to not load in FireFox and now in IE as well.

These are the error messages from my log:

[25832] EACCELERATOR: PHP crashed on opline 8 of (null)() at /home/peoriapu/public_html/blogpeoria/wp-includes/kses.php:516

[Sat Jan 6 09:05:18 2007] [notice] child pid 25832 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
[25835] EACCELERATOR: PHP crashed on opline 8 of (null)() at /home/peoriapu/public_html/blogpeoria/wp-includes/kses.php:516

Could it be that I have a bad kses.php file in my installation?

Is this a known issue? Is it save to download a new build and upload the new kses.php file?

I know I shouldn’t ask again, so soon, but my site keeps crashing and I don’t have much time to fix this before I go off to work. Does ANYONE have an answer to this?

    Hey

Same problem here. Now and then the eecel crashes with that error.

    What can we do?

    Using WP 2.0

I haven’t had any problems since upgrading to WP 2.1.

    I hope that helps.

it looks like kses.php is frequently causing problems when cached (by e.g. eaccelerator). excluding it form being cached in eaccelerator might do the trick (something like eaccelerator.filter=”!*kses.php” in your config).
