    Hi

Firstly, I’m not even sure this is a theme problem, but my website has suddenly messed up. It’s meant to be running the default kubrick theme (with a few changes), but if you look at the site (www.shallwesingasongforyou.co.uk) you can see that it’s all messed up, with a grey background, lines messed up, and the sidebar pushed way down the right side.

However, this didn’t happen just after I’d edited the template (I’m pretty sure) and I only noticed it after my last post (but removing the post doesn’t fix things). I’ve uploaded the originals of all the template files I ever edited (index, sidebar, header), but it didn’t work, so I’ve uploaded my modified versions again.

If you click on individual posts, the site looks fine. Also, I have a page on the site (https://www.shallwesingasongforyou.co.uk/?page_id=30) and it looks fine.

If you look on the main page, you’ll notice that not only is the sidebar displaced, but the font of it has been changed from the standard kubrick font. Does that help investigations?

Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

    Thanks,
    Stephen

  • Sounds like something in your CSS is borked. You mentioned reuploading various PHP files, but did you make any chances to the CSS?

    Images too wide?

    I never touched the CSS.

The images aren’t too wide – you’re right in that they knock the sidebar down if they’re too big, so I have to be careful. And it only started messing up yesterday, and the last post with images has been there over a week.

Actually, I’ve just went on uploaded ALL the original files in the folder for the default theme and things are still messed up, so is it not actually anything to do with the theme at all?

I’M LOOKING FOR A GOOD REASONABLLY PRICED DEVELOPER TO HELP ME CREATE A NEW BLOG WEBSITE. I’M LOCATED IN LOS ANGELES. ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF WORDPRESS WORKS WITH A SCREEN READER?

    THANKS!

i’d download the theme again, probably one of your files got inadvertantly (sp) changed and you didn’t even know it. Downloading it fresh is the only way to be sure…

Also when you’re re-uploading, be sure to delete the entire theme’s folder first — sometimes uploading doesn’t override existing files, etc.

Right, it’s <b>nothing to do with the theme</b>. I deleted my existing kubrick folder, downloaded a new version of kubrick (all sidebar edition to be precise – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/25616) and I still get exactly the same problem.

Got it sorted…I’d edited a post down the page and forgot to include the closing ” in a link.

That’s good and thanks for posting back with how you fixed it!
