    Hello helpful folks!

    Problem site:

I’ve installed and altered the theme images of another blog … so, I can’t figure out why it’s not working on this one.

I’ve altered and uploaded the images kubrickbg.jpg and kubrickbgwide.jpg — but they’re not showing up as revised when I view the blog. The image kubrickfooter.jpg, however, does.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks so much!
    Tammy

Oh my, even my question is messed up … let’s try this again.

    The link is httphttps://www.taaonline.net/TAAConferenceblog

And … I have searched the forums and tried a couple of the suggestions … but nothing has worked.

    Thanks again.

The both images do show up. Right click on image with Firefox and go to ‘View background image’

    Empty the cache.

    Thanks all.

Yes, the images are there when I call them up separately, but not when I view the blog. (Still shows the original “shadow to white” on the side, instead of a hard line to blue, like in the footer image.)

Do you mean you see the correct thing (hard edge of blue all around) when you view the blog?

I don’t think it’s cache issue for me.

    Thanks again,
    Tammy

I need help getting rid of that stupid ‘shadow to white; background image from the default template. I deleted ‘background: #d5d6d7 url(‘images/kubrickbgcolor.jpg’);’ from style.css but it’s still being displayed. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Idea?
Work with another theme – the default is a nightmare to modify, especially for beginners.

There are some style definitions in if_statements in its header file, too.

What’s a simpler to modify theme that has some similar layout characteristics that you would recommend?

There are hundreds with similar “layout”:
fixed, centered, sidebar on the right.

    Thanks!
