First …Thank you this is the single BEST plugin for wordpress bar none

The only way to make it better…and this is an option I would gladly pay for…is to block proxy servers..almost all the attacks on my sites, and I get lots of them come from tor and other proxies blocking them would be very helpful

    Thanks and GREAT job guys

  • Hey Mike,

Thanks for the kind words. I know there have been other requests for this option in the past. I’ll pass it along. We evaluate all suggestions but can’t guarantee a feature will be implemented.

    Thanks!

You are welcome…what i said was straight up honest and I use wordfence on a site that averages 10K views a day with people constantly trying to hack it…blocking proxies as I said is a feature Id gladly pay for….there are sites that offer this but the cost is ridiculous at 60 bucks a month minimum…my site is not a money making site so thats outta my range…..again Thank you and do keep me posted put my email on your mailing list if you like..mikesouth at mikesouth dot com

@mikesouth: Thanks for the feedback! Brian had sent in your comments about TOR and other proxies — in the meantime, for any proxy that has a consistent hostname that you see getting blocked, you can use the Advanced Blocking page on the Wordfence menu to block them — just enter the Hostname field and a reason for blocking, and you can skip the other fields. It may make visitors’ first pageload slightly longer, since there will be a DNS query, but it could work for most purposes.

I can’t add you to our mailing list manually, but you can sign up for the newsletter here if you like: Wordfence newsletter
