    Dear Kudos Donations users,

    After more than a year of development I am pleased to announce that the 4.0.0-beta version of Kudos Donations is now available. As this upgrade contains a number of significant changes I wanted to release it slowly before making it widely available.     I have taken feedback from your questions, both on this forum and elsewhere, to make changes and add the features that are most requested. However at this stage your feedback is even more important than ever for ensuring that Kudos Donations works as intended and is as bug free as possible. If you are comfortable trying it out I would advise you to make a backup of your website should you want to revert back to Kudos Donations 3.x for any reason.

    How to install Kudos Donations 4.0.0-beta

    There are two main methods for installing the beta:
    – Using WP Rollback (recommended)
    – From a downloaded zip file

    WP Rollback

    WP Rollback is a plugin that allows you to change the version of an installed plugin. In this case it will allow you to choose a beta version:
    – Install and activate WP Rollback from the official plugin store
    – Go to the list of installed plugins and find Kudos Donations
    – Click the new “Rollback” link under the name and choose the latest 4.0.0 beta version

    Download plugin Zip file

    You can download the latest release here (kudos-donations.zip under “other”) and use WordPress’ plugin page to add it.

    I installed the new beta version using the WP rollback. I haven’t yet properly tested it so I can’t give you any proper feedback yet on the new features, but from what I’ve seen I am very happy with the new update. Thank you for all your hard work and taking our suggestions into consideration.

    However, I do have one concern. When I installed the new version all the data from my previous campaign was no longer available. I had no record of any transactions already made or any info on my donors. I am not sure if I’ve done something wrong when installing the update or is this the way it’s supposed to work.

    Anyway, I have reverted back to the old version and I have all the data back. But I would like to have access to the old data when the new update is installed.

    Hi Suzana,

    Thanks very much for testing out the new version and glad you liked it.

    It is supposed to actually show a message which asks if you want to move all your old data to the new version. However there is a bug in the current latest beta (4.0.0-beta-6) which seems to prevent the update message from appearing on some websites. I hope to have a fix soon for it!

    I uploaded the newer version with Roll back method.
    When activated the plugin i got the screen that an intern error appearead and i was locked out the admin panel.
    Via FTP the plugin renamed and the admin portal was available again.
    So went back to the latest stable version.

    Thanks very much for your review and for your feedback on the beta!

    I am glad you were able to recover from the error. I think I managed to fix the issue that you describe and along with that there have been quite a few other fixes made since beta 12. I will try to upload the latest version today so that you can try it again when you have time.

    Good morning,

    I uploaded the newest ( Beta) version for you and all went well with the activation now.
    But the payments are not loading in the backend
    In the frontend it says that Mollie is not connected. But it surely is.

    Hi,
    On mobile it works just fine i see now. I must translate some things in Dutch, but it works.
    On big screen however it wont work.
    I can you you a link of the site, but i dont want it to be public ??
