    Hi,

Please do open a new support thread if you are having a problem:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/updraftplus/

The only reason we’ve heard of (after 6 million downloads) for UpdraftPlus being related to a site going offline is hosting companies whose administrative policies set resource limits so low as to effectively forbid backups, and who set their policies to immediately take sites offline (rather than warning you first)… in my view, in that situation the bad review should be aimed at the hosting company, as there’s little that a backup plugin can do if their policies are set up that way, and it’s not reasonable (or normal, thankfully) to forbid customers to back up their websites or to take them offline if they try. If you have any information on why your site is not online, please do share it with us.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear that. But as I say, in the absence of any other information, it’s much more likely that it’s actually your hosting company who have set up their policies to forbid backups, and that no archive-based backup plugin is going to be able to anything about that – and that to do something about it, you’d need to ask the hosting company to not implement such policies. (If you find out that the case is otherwise, we’d be very eager to have more information).

Presumably it does have something to do with the hosting company, as I’m supposing that if something spoiled one site, you wouldn’t be likely to then try it on another three sites, one after the other. So presumably the hosting company has decided to do something with your account and all sites are on one account?

    David
