    Good day

I’m trying to noindex a page on my site (a few pages actually), and I’ve been able to do it before with other pages – in 2019 – but I’m suddenly not able to do it. I don’t see the gear icon that every article mentions.

I’ve spent hours googling the issue and read articles about it, but nothing mentions the specific problem I’m having.

I just don’t see the gear icon and advanced options to be able to hide the page from search engines. I know exactly what I’m looking for, which is the gear icon tab. I just don’t see it at all.

    What am I missing?

    Kind regards
    Thanks in advance
    Melissa

We apologies for any inconvenience. The issue you’re experiencing “missing advanced options” is a known bug and is planned to fix in the next release v14.2.

In the meantime, you can toggle the switch from the Yoast SEO → General → Features (tab) → Security: no advanced settings for authors options and that shall fix the issue for you.

I can confirm turning on “No advanced settings for authors” cures this bug
