lack of transparency about Pro-only features

When I found this theme I was excited because I have been looking for a theme with a widgetized home page that doesn’t restrict widgets to the sidebars. After installing it I learned that this feature is only available in the Pro version. There is a long list that goes with this which I won’t go into—except it includes essentials like the ability to use a logo.

Honesty and transparency about Pro-only features is the only thing which justifies including themes like this in the repository. For my purposes that lack wasted my time.
