Language files email translation

  • I edited the language files (using the German version) with Poedit and put them in wp-content > languages > woocommerce. This works fine, but I don’t find the email text for the customers’ order email.

    I also tried editing the email templates directly and put them into my child theme in woocommerce > templates > emails > e.g. “customer-on-hold-order.php”, but there are no visible changes.

    Any suggestions what goes wrong?

    What text are you trying to change? Are you sure the emails being sent is powered by WooCommerce and not another plugin altogether?

    I try to edit the already translated text in the customer-on-hold-order-email and can’t find it. I also use WooCommerce Checkout Manager plugin, but this text comes from WC.
