Language for a new TAG

  • When I add a new tag from post list – via Quick Edit option, the new tag has correctly set language (the same as post language). But when I add a new tag from Post edit page, the new tag doesn’t inherit language from post. (There is no language set.) I have to search the tag and add a language manually. It is a bug in Polylang?

    Hello,

    Not exactly. This occurs only in the block editor because it uses the REST API. We have included the compatibility with the REST API only in Polylang Pro.

    Your options are:
    * Use the classic editor.
    * If you prefer the block editor, create your tags in the tags page instead of the block editor.
    * Switch to Polylang Pro for a better of integration with the block editor.
