Currently the only stable way is to have a copy of posts and pages in both languages.

There is an experimental solution https://pastebin.com/bsEM0P2R but although it works for me, the feedback I have is that it does not work. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-polylang-all-languages-option-for-posts-and-pages I have not planned to go on working on this in the coming weeks.
