    Hello again!

What do you mean the link? When I switch from languages both in the frontend and in the backend I don’t see any problem… When I tried your solution nothing really happened…

The problem that I have now is that Settings tab in Settings–>Languages
    shows me this –> https://snag.gy/eQf9z.jpg

    Nothing else!

Can we fix that as well?
Thanks in advance for the help

Yes we can! This bug was due to your WordPress version. Chouby has just fixed it in 1.8.2. It should work now.
I know that you want too have the el url, and it’s possible.

But to avoid lost your links between your translation, could you please follow the steps below.

    1) Go in your wp_termstable then replace pll_el by pll_el-2. It’s very important.

    2) Then return in your wordpress admin and update Polylang to the 1.8.2.

    3) Now the Settings should appear. Resave your Polylang settings (Settings > languages > Settings > URL modifications).

    4) Go in the “Languages” tab, then check that you have your flag for the Greek and with the code ‘el-2’. Check that your strings (Strings Translation option) have been saved correctly. And check for your Posts and Pages that you have well the link between the translations.

    5) If all is fine you can edit the Greek in the language table then replace el-2 by el.

Instead of opening a new thread, same problem here ??
Languages no longer works. Every page returns a 404.
I re-updated the permalinks to “post name” to have the .htaccess regenerated. But every page returns a 404.
I polylang, the configuration I have is to use two different domains. I tried the other settings but that doesn’t work as well.
    thanks!

I tested with the WordPress 4.0 and it works for me.
Could you please update your WordPress to the actual version, your plugins and your theme too?

Before making these updates, make a backup.

The versions are up to date but it still doesn’t work…

Also when I search a product by name the search results provided are 3 products with the same name (all products have the same name in different languages) even though it should be only one (based on which language is set each time)

If the links still don’t work it’s a javascript problem.
It means that a plugin or the theme is causing a javascript error and break the javascript links.

Could you please deactivate all your plugins except Polylang? Then test if the links work with your theme + Polylang.

    Did you solve your issue?

    (@mostwombat)

    No I didn’t.
I tried deactivating all the plugins and javascript but with no luck.
    Why?
Do you think there is a connection?
Sorry for taking up your time but this site is for a client of mine and the issue with the search results is pretty crucial.
I can give you access to the site as well if you want to…

There is a newest version of your theme v 2.1.4. It seems that you used the v 1.3.1 (September 19, 2014) and you have missed a lot of fix.
    Could you update your theme?

    Thread Starter mostwombat

    (@mostwombat)

I can’t really update my theme to be honest…
It is customized a lot so now it would be impossible to update without losing the changes made…
Is there any other way? If not I will try updating and see if everything doesn’t break…
