All you have to do is to detach the explanation to make it localizable,as you always use the same engine that gets the objects to move and displays them to the users. Now the explanation is printed on the background, is not an actual text. Make that text another object and you can get it from a file as you do with the other data, considering the localization. You do realise the cherries and the icecream looks the same all over the world, don`t you? ??
Now to translate means to edit all the backgrounds. You could use google translate engine to automatically translate in klingonian if you want. But it doesnt have to be complicated, you could just add an animated gif or even another (static) explanatory sprite on your future backgrounds from now on, showing a guy doing the thing or something, as a popup on hover for example - and you don
t even need a translation this way. An arrow from a “?” where the ‘objects’ are, towards the right where the target “is” should suffice. I did not get it the first two times I saw it, cause I had no idea how sundaes are made, let alone knowing the word itself…

Anyway, on my page I put the explanation in Romanian above the areyouhuman object, but it looks weird to also have the text in english. I see you did not compiled it in flash – is it opensource? t, for I enjoy figuring it out, but this way it provides weak points as far as I read (I am not a programmer, so don`t take my word on it).
You might find easier to use the arrow on the background instead of english text.
