• Hello, I’m using your plugin and like it very much. Since my website is in French, I changed the default “serach here…” in “Rechercher sur le blog”.

Now I’m using translatepress to have my website available in German but I can’t find a way to put the German translation to replace “”Rechercher sur le blog”.

Can you help me figure this out?

    Kind regards,

    Géraldine

    Hi!

I am not exactly sure how translatepress processes string translations – but because this is not a hard coded text (meaning you can change it on the back-end) it will not show up in .mo or .po translation files.

Try checking if Translatepress has a string translation feature of some sort – usually those can pick-up these dynamically changing values.

For WPML and Polylang the plugin has excplicit declarations for string translations, but we could not find API to Translatepress to register string translations programmatically. I guess it picks these strings automatically somehow?

    All the best,
    Ernest
