language switch problem

    Thanks for this very useful plugin. I am using the invicta theme that officially supports wpml not polylang but polylang seems to work just fine apart from a few issues that I would need your support.

    The site loads up fine but when I set it up to load up by default to the language of the browser it creates too many redirect loops. I deactivate this setting and it work ok now but it still doesn’t switch languages in the first page.

    When you select another page (not the first one) and then you select the second language (english) then it switches fine from Greek to English and vice versa.

    I would appreciate any help with this.

    If I could get the language icon to direct to this address https://dimiourgia.gr/welcome/ it would solve all my problems.

    According your source code the https://www.dimiourgia.gr is well defined as a static page:

    <body class="home page page-id-7 page-template-default

    But not the https://dimiourgia.gr/welcome/:

    <body class="page page-id-132 page-template-default

    Your Greek and English home pages must link by the translation in the Pages list table (pen icon instead of plus sign). And you must define your static front page in the Settings > Reading WordPress option.

    I still haven’t been able to resolve this problem.

    I have associated my Greek and English home pages with each other.

    I have also define the static front page.

    The two still don’t switch with each other.

    The other pages switch fine.

    Please help if you can. Thanks in advance. Yanni
