Language switcher doesn’t work

    Hi
    As soon as I activate the plugin, my WPML language switcher stops working correctly. The content (below the menu) changes language, but the menu does not switch.

    Can you take a look at it and let me know how to fix this? I have followed the guide you have for WPML, but that did not help.

    Hi Rakel,

    Please can you double/triple check you have followed the Prerequisites screenshot on this page?

    It is usually the bit that people miss, but it is required for the menu to function correctly.

    Thanks for a quick response. I have gone through the guide multiple times, also checking the prerequisites, but nothing helps. Do you have another idea?

    Hi Rakel,

    I don’t sorry, I have seen the exact same issue multiple times and it is always the “Adjust IDs for multilingual functionality” setting. Can you try disabling and re-enabling that option?

    I tried disabling and re-enabling the option. I also tried creating a new menu and a new language switcher, as well as moving the language switcher to the footer. But nothing works ??

    I have been using the normal menu within WordPress, with a language switcher, for years now and don’t have this issue there. I also tried a plugin called Mega Main Menu and that worked fine too.
