Language Switching Buttons disappeared after update: refresh editor pages

    We will have to resolve this browser caching problem soon, but for now, a number of people reported disappearance of Language Switching Buttons after update. In all known cases so far, simple refresh of a page brings them back.
    Submit a support issue, if this does not work for you.

    in my server is not a cache problem.
    in the q-translate-x/flags directory i added ru1.png, de1.png, it1.png
    see my learning page https://maurizio.omissoni.ch
    and even when i change rights with

    chmod 600 *.png
    chown root:root *.png

    sometimes (at updates?) they disappear and then i have to recopy it there.

    Hi @maurizio.omissoni, this is actually different problem, not the one in the topic.

    Yes, they would disappear always on an update as any custom modifications to any other files inside any plugin or theme.

    If you wish to use different flag images, you should point option “Flag Image Path” to your own folder, containing your images outside of “plugins” or “themes” folders. Most people would put it somewhere under “uploads” folder.

    The dropdown, as I suppose this topic relates to, doesn’t display on hover, nor does it helps to refresh the editor pages. Nevertheless, I guess your working on a solution…

    Hi @unicco: actually, this is a new topic too, and nobody works on this one yet. Could you please, open a new thread with the details described: theme, other plugins, steps to reproduce, etc. BTW, does it work ok for you under “Twenty Fifteen” and qTranslate-X alone without any other plugins?
