    Hi,

first of all congratulations for your great plugin.

I installed it and the users can only edit the selected languages but the language selector is always shown (in the admin bar and in the general entries overview -> … /edit.php?post_type=XXX) with all the languages. Could be the non-selected languages hidden for the user?

I have WP 4.7.2 and WPML 3.6.3. I hope you can give me a hint about where could be the problem.

    Regards!

    Hi calbotaso,

Humm interesting. I’m fairly sure it used to remove the languages from the admin bar, I guess WPML have changed the way they do things. I’ll look into this over the next week or so and see if there’s anything that can be done.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I like to keep my plugins up to date and working, and I’m glad you enjoy it!!

    Thanks.

    Hi again,

sorry for bothering you but I’m getting a bit crazy with this. I tried different solutions to limit the languages per user but none of them worked for me. Your plugin looks like the cleanest and simplest solution for doing that.

Did you already found the problem?
If not, could you give me a hint about where to look?

I’ve checked the WPML hooks reference page:
    https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-coding-api/wpml-hooks-reference/

On other hand I thought the problem was in the function (but I’m not really sure):
    Wpml_Editor_Languages_Admin::set_allowed_languages()

    Best Regards,

    Hi calbotaso,

Thanks for the info. I haven’t got round to it yet I’m afraid but it is on my todo list for this week. If I find anything I’ll definitely let you know.

    Thanks

    Hi @calbotaso,

I’ve just pushed version 1.0.6 that should fix the issues with the languages switcher. If you could try it and let me know if it sorts everything I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks

Great! I’ve just tested the new version in my site and it works like a charm, thank you very much.

I would just add as a “nice to have” feature for the future versions:

    – Hide the non assigned languages in the general overviews as well (e.g. hide the flags and the + links in /edit.php?post_type=page). That would make for example a Spanish editor blind to the other languages and he/she would put only his focus and attention on his assigned languages.

Anyway, thanks for your work and time.

    Regards

    Hi @calbotaso,

Great, I’m glad it works. Yeah that makes sense, I’ll look into it and see how hard it would be.

    Thanks
