LARGE Batch setup featured pics after import

    Hello!

    We are currently importing a large website (about 50.000 articles), using the WP export system through WP-CLI.

    Featured images are not installed in the process, and we are using your script to setup the first image of each article as featured pic. But manually it is a pain, we can do only by about 150 articles, otherwise page freezes.

    Is there a way to run the command directly from php (we have full access on the server)? If so we would run it in background and after a day or two that should be done ??

    Hello @stanxxx . Thank you for reaching out.
    The main problem is, PHP is running in a timeout when the turn of editing takes too long. We will change this in the future and use the WordPress AJAX call.
    Currently we do not support any CLI action. So, no wp-cli support nor an option to start a PHP script from the command line. This feature is also on our roadmap but I guess we will work on it later this year.
    A solution can be to use our Pro version, which has more filter options. You can use them to minimize the number of posts which will be edited in one turn.
    We start back selling the Pro version this week, through our new online shop.
    If you want, I can inform you as soon as the shop is online.

    Thank you! We already have the PRO license ?? We solved the problem by increasing the php values for memory, etc, for this site. So far no problem, we process by batch of 3 months (1500-1800 articles). Sure, a CLI option would be great, we use it for example to import large XML files.
