• Hi! Since the recent updates (now at 5.1.1), I’ve had a significantly large blank space under the Rotating Image & Excert. It takes up a chunk of my landing page. It does however disappear occasionally, and I think it resolved, only for it to happen again. Thanks for the help!

    Hi!

Do you use any lazy load plugin? If so, try to disable it and see if the space disappears.

Awesome! That was it! It wasn’t a plugin however, but part of the settings (I’m using WordPress.com btw). I flicked the switch, and it’s back to how it was.

Incidentally, why I activated the lazy load to begin with, it was recommended to improve my page speed. For some reason the Google Page Speed score is crazy low (23), even though it doesn’t feel slow. The explanation given was that “resources are blocking the first paint of your page.”

Apparently I need to eliminate render blocking resources & defer offscreen images.

Any suggestions/recommendations, or should I just ignore this? Thanks so much!
