• Hello,

I’m tracking my 404 errors and it appears that Googlebot is indexing LiteSpeed’s cache files. Whenever the cache gets purged, my 404 log contains a large number of entries from GoogleBot hitting (and not finding, obviously) things in the /min/ folder, with random filenames such as /min/8fd8d.js

    Is this normal and expected?

    Thanks
    Alexander.

    Hi,

Did you upgrade from v2.9 to v3.x ?

Yes, I’m fairly certain that I had LS Cache installed prior to v3 being released.

    Hi,

In v2.9 , it was using /min/xxxxx.js and /min/xxxxx.css , in v3 it’s changed to /wp-content/litespeed/cssjs/xxxxx.js|css , it could be old cached data as when you in v3 , there is no more /min/

I just verified this via FTP and indeed, there’s on /min/ folder there. Thanks, that explains that.

I’d assume it’s safe then to add a REDIRECTMATCH for all /min/ and mark them as GONE/410 via .htaccess?

    Thanks!

As long as you don’t want to downgrade to v2.9 , yes ??
