    Hello,

I wanted to begin by saying this plugin (and the others) have been just great so far!

There is however one issue that I wanted to get your input on. Loading posts with a large number of images (>100) can result in either incomplete loading (as in the “Images appearing overlapped” thread) or even in one or more MySQL tables being labeled as “crashed” and requiring repair.

Have you experienced this in testing? Could it be just be solved by gallery pagination reducing the image number?

Thanks for looking into this in advance!

    Cheers
    -Cris

I am using the following other plugins:

    1. WP/LR Sync
    2. Meow Lightbox
    3. WP Retina 2X

  • Hello Cris,

First of all, thank you for your nice words !

You are actually pointing out something we have been thinking about lately : large amount of images.

The corrupted database tables is a bit weird, the plugin is not touching to the database at all, but maybe WordPress has some trouble retrieving too many images.

That being said, the plugin as it is right now is not really suited for so many images, we are planning to add an “infinite loading” ( ie. load images depending on the page scroll, so that we don’t load pictures out of the viewport ), but it will take a lot of time to do and we would like to finish other things on this plugin first.

I think that paginating the gallery would work well, you might be able to find a plugin for that ?

Sorry for not being able to help you more for now, I’m having a busy week here, I will have a closer look this week-end !

    Best regards,
    Thomas
