Large set of Page Items

  • I am looking for a plugin or a way to manage a large set of menu items. I have a website that is going to be around 1200 pages and many of these pages have child pages, etc. I am currently using the CMS Tree which lets me easily organize a page as a child page of a parent, etc. I am also using the Child Page Navigation plugin which automatically inserts the children of a parent on my side menu for the sidebar menu…the problem is I have pages that are children of a parent that I also planned on having in another hierarchy but not a new page. Is it possible to manage a large number of menu items in wordpress. To me, it seems like the out of the box menu manager is only good for a few sets of menus. Also is there a way to assign a menu to a page instead of a page to a menu? Seems like a pain….any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • pages should not be used in this way

    WordPress Pages are for displaying Important content that does not change that often… such as your Contact page or Site Rules.

    You need to convert those pages to posts
    and then put the posts in categories.

    there are plugins that can help you convert pages to posts or you can edit the db.. no wait use a plugin heh…
