Large size of new version due to sample images

    I’ve updated the builder plugin (v.2.0.1) and then noticed that my site backup size has increased by 10 MB (60%). I tracked the increase down to the following directory: /theme-blvd-layout-builder/includes/admin/sample/

    It seems to be full of images and sample layouts, perhaps to support future versions of the plugin. My suggestion is that these sample layouts could be linked from the Theme Blvd site to reduce the plugin size by 10 MB. Or, could I delete these images or directory as I have no use for them in this installation?

    Hello,

    The plugin is currently about 12 MB, and I’ve been able to reduce to about 6 MB with image compression, for the v2.0.2 update. Hopefully, that’ll help a bit when it gets released.

    That’s fantastic. I appreciate you reducing the overall size by 50% through compression. It will make a real different to the site size – which ticks over at about 17 MB.
