Large taskbar in page editing

  • Hi

    Why do I have such a large (vertical) empty task bar area below the menu buttons as shown outlined in red in the link below?

    This only appeared with installation of WP 3.9 and is still present in WP 3.9.1?

    OS is W8.1 and I am using FF browser and appearance is just the same in Chrome.

  • That is most likely something aded in by what ever is adding those extra bottons to the toolbar. The way to troubleshoot that is to disable all of your plugins, and re-enable them one-by-one to see which one causes the problem.

    Thanks, I will try that but meantime, what are the “extra buttons” you refer to? All those buttons have been there since I first started using WP in December 2013.

    I don’t think those buttons come by default with WordPress.

    I have the default WordPress and my page editor has only the top row of buttons, minus the rightmost two.

    It looks like you are using a commercial theme so if its not a plugin issue its probably theme related and you should refer to the vendor’s support service.
