• Hi, Iā€™m not sure when this happened exactly ā€” perhaps after the last update ā€” but the last modified info disappeared on my WordPress site. I used to have ā€œLast Updated on: _____ā€ in the original date section, but instead it started showing the original date only (I linked to 1 of the many blog posts this has happened to for an example).

I checked all the settings and made sure I have it enabled. The only way the Last Modified date appears now is if it completely replaces the original date and no longer says ā€œlast updated on:ā€. This is not what I wanted as my understanding is it’s not good for SEO. I am also noticing that even though the date shown on my blog post has changed, search engines are only picking up the original date from years ago.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I had the same problem, tried reset, tried reinstall – but the answer was simple. On the ‘WP Last Modified Info’ config, using the ‘Post Options’ tab and the ‘Posts Types to Show Modified Info:’, just add ‘Pages’ to ‘Posts’.
