Last post title and excerpt on a page

  • Hi everybody!

    I read plenty of threads in this forum on this question but I can’t get anything working.

    I want to set one of the pages as my frontpage and create a link to the blog in the list of links to the pages.

    Then, I want include in that page an excerpt of my last post in the blog (title and just a few lines excerpt).

    Finally, I want to include in that page as well an an excerpt of the last post in the my phpbb2 forum (title and just a few lines excerpt).

    I’ve downloaded so far runphp, cg-quickphp, cg power pack, sem-static-front wordpress plugins and phpbb_fetch_all phpbb plugin.

    I’m driving myself crazy, how can I insert excerpts of recent posts in a page?
