• It appears after the last update my families were unlinked, and all the data was put into custom fields. I have HUNDREDS of people in there. Is there any way to fix it?

    Website is sillymummyfamilytree.ca

The same thing happened on my WordPress website. The family tree disappeared after the last WordPress update. How can I reinstate it?

    Hey @smft,

Sorry for inconvinence. Can you share your site credentials to dive into
main issue and trying to resolve it as soon as possible.

Can you advise where to send the credentials?

    hello

I have the same problem. Until now, I was using version 2.0.22 of the plugin and everything worked very well. I updated to version 3.0.1 (same problem with just 3.0.0) and I can no longer display the family tree. Individual “members” pages are OK, but I can’t display the family tree.

The new version of the plugin creates family groups with numbers, I don’t know how to use them, but it can’t serve as a root ID for the family tree.
I tried creating a new family, putting the ID of that family in the shortcode, but nothing shows except the message “ID is required”.

I’m very disappointed because I absolutely need this feature. I can’t show anything because it’s a private family site.

I used a backup from my hosting service to roll back to the older version. I am VERY disappointed with the developers over this. It’s been like it for far too long and no word from them about it. It would be nice if they could make the old (working) version available for people. Paid them good money too!

    Hello,

i have also the same problem! No reaction from

    the developper??

There seem to more of people with this problem (me too), it might be easier to reply with a step by step solution in stead of asking everyone for credentials. Then at least we can try to solve te problem ourselves…

I have got the same thing after an upgrade!

    Please help

    Hello @blackandwhitesupport
I’m happy to see you’re back. I think there are several of us here with the same problem: versions 3.0 and above bug the family tree which worked very well before. The plugin asks to set the root ID, even though it is already set in the shortcode!
    (same problem on this topic)

Thank you in advance for looking quickly.
