  • First time I have heard of something like this. Did you submit a support request?

    Hi Chrisssi,

Have you asked about this in support yet? Can you change your review to something more neutral until we have a chance to work with you on this? In three years I have never heard of child theme being completely deleted, I would love to get to the bottom of this.

I don’t know what to tell you. I literally did nothing except updating the Plugin when i was prompted to and WordPress did an autom. update to 4.1.1.
I just remembered the update of the plugin got stuck and wordpress stayed in the maintenance mode. I had to delete the .maintenance by hand. Afterwards the agenda widget was plain text no format so i went into the plugin preferences and clicked save. Nothing more. The next day I realized that it wasnt using my custom theme. So I looked and there was no folder “gamma-child” in the theme folder.

I managed to recover it from a backup I did. Still its pretty weird.

Very bizarre, I haven’t heard of any specific issues with 4.1.1 either. I’m glad you had a backup, hopeful others reading this will be reminded of the importance of backing up, as strange unexpected things happen!

    Thanks Chrisssssi.

    Hi,

exactly where did you put your child theme?Because it must be in wp-content/themes-ai1ec and not under plugins/all-in-one-events-calendar/public/themes-ai1ec

That may have been the problem. You should maybe stress this more in your HowTo.
