Last version of this day the formatting of mails is broken.

There is no need to use the <br> tag at all, or <p> tags for that matter. HTML mail definitions are processed using wpautop(), so these tags are added automatically.

When you enter the message text, a single ENTER will result in a line break, and a double ENTER in a paragraph break, just like in the classic editor.

How to fix broken formatting since last update?

The question is simple, but more than 20 messages and no solution

And how did you fix the breakage of this latest version?

I am very surprised, but happy. The issue seems to have solved itself today? Did this only happen to me?

I have made no update what so ever to either WordPress or any plugin. So I don′t understand this.

How did you solve the problem?

For a couple of days now I have tried “everything”, adding br, deleting br, only making a new row by pressing Enter and so on. But actually I dont think I did anythins. Now when I removed all my changes and got back to how I had it from the start, all looks just fine. And I don′t understand what happend…

Maybe it could be that I added an empty row between my rows that did it, dont know. And then when I deleted that emty row, all lookes fine, just as from the start.

Update: Adding <hr> also did it, but that does not look so good.

No, I tried again, with br
and hr too, but still broken layouts

I can′t explain how I made it work. But I have only updated the plugin on one website. Don′t know if I dare to update it on them all…

in my opinion don’t, because it doesn’t work for our sites no matter what.
And so it is for many people.
Shame on Contactform which does not correct and which wants us to believe that it comes from our sites, it is always thus that it answers

We have no error message, only a broken formatting of the Emails received, example below:
