• Hi, I’m creating my first blog and i’m trying generatepress. I was using elementor but i like gp more and i will get the pro version soon.

But i have a question. If i choose the homepage to be made by latest posts, can i customize it with elements? My homepage should be like the one in the info template, but not as a static page. Should I be able to archive this?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi there,

the Info site uses a Static Page. As it has multiple post loops being displayed. The archive pages such as the Categories are using the theme archive templates, and those are design using GP Block Elements.

Thanks for the reply. I’m reading the documentation and still trying to understand query loops. From what i see, if i choose to have the homepage as latest posts instead of a static page, if i add element blocks with different post categories, it will always keeps showing the blog archive page, right? So how can i hide the archive with all the posts page from homepage so i can just use the block elements? Thanks again.
