I got this running across the top of member profile pages…

    Hi,

You need to update the database, as directed in the dashboard and everything will be better than it was.

In any case, we’ve updated to 2.6.1 so that such warnings don’t appear!

    Regards.

I get the same error as Scott.

Nothing in the dashboard allows me to update the database.

I tried to unsintall and reinstall the plugin, but the error still appears.

Is there anything to force the database update ?

Hi, could any of you post a link to your sites? This is unusual and unexpected.

I was able to see the option to upgrade the plugin to version 2.6.1 once I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, but it still has the same page warnings. I don’t see an option to update the database either.

I’m going to the Buddypress Media button at the top of Admin and it takes me to settings…no option for database update.

    Yes of course.

warning : the site is french translated ^^

    I’m re-activating the plugin now.

Note : this site is freshly new, only 2 pictures have been uploaded (yesterday)

    Hi @rhoooo

Please delete this user as this is now public and anybody can misuse this. Send me a temporary admin at saurabh dot shukla at rtcamp dot com.

This happened to my site too. It said to update database and when I do nothing happens. Completely messed up buddypress. I’m in the process of installing my backup now.

    Hi @kevin,

    Do one of the following:

    1. Hard refresh your browser, a couple of times
    2. Update to 2.6.2, released just now

This will fix your problem. What Rhoo and Scott are facing is something different. Yours is similar to https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/latest-update-doesnt-want-to-update-database

    Regards.

Any update of our issue ?

    Should I try the 2.6.4 update ?

    Hi,

This was a very messy update. Apologies.

Everything has been fixed thanks, in part, to @scott above. Kindly update to 2.6.5

    Hi,

I just noticed a few things that don’t seem right.

The plugin is not keeping proper count of the number of items being uploaded. For example, when you upload a photo, shouldn’t it increase the number count on the “photos” tab and the overall count on the ‘media’ tab by an increment of one? Mine keeps showing zero (0). It’s the same for all the other media tabs, no matter what type of media is uploaded, it’s always showing zero (0).

Second issue. When an album is created by a new user, it’s not showing up on the list of albums. It’s saying ‘Sorry, no albums were found’.

The last issue. The plugin is messing with the css of my footer. It’s making it fluid width across the entire width of the screen. It needs to conform to the page width setting of the default template that is selected for the page.

    Thanks

    Hi @scott,

The errors with the Privacy update regarding counts and displays have been fixed.

I’ll reconfirm the footer issue, in a day.

    Regards.
