I am using “Automatic Latest Content Widget” to send out new posts, but would love to include posts that have been edited (and/or tagged a certain way).
Updating a post does not trigger the Post Notification feature in MailPoet. To include an already published post in your email notifications, you would need to publish it as a new post.
The reason for this is that posts in MailPoet have unique IDs, and when a post has been sent as a post notification, MailPoet stores the ID for tracking purposes. As a result, editing the post will not generate a new ID and trigger the post notification to be sent again.
Therefore, if you want to include edited or tagged posts in your email notifications, you will need to republish them as new posts. This will generate a new ID for the post and trigger the post notification to be sent out.
