• Hi there!

I have been podcasting for over a year, and I use Libsyn as a file host, and PowerPress as the publisher on my blog.

    Feed: https://coconutsandkettlebells.com/feed/podcast

Yesterday, I published our latest podcast (episode #062), and it’s not showing up in the feed. I have done just about everything I can think of to resolve this, to include doing a bunch of stuff to make sure caching isn’t the problem in WordPress.

I DID change the file size of the cover image, as most feed validators were telling me it was too large. Other than that, the feed is validating just fine—however, it is NOT showing episode #062 in the feed.

The odd thing is, some people were able to download the episode and saw it available in iTunes, and others were not. And today, I actually can’t see it available in iTunes or Stitcher.

Any insight or thoughts on how to resolve this?

IMPORTANT NOTE! I changed the artwork file size from 1.7MB to 300KB 36 hours ago…. yet, the feed is STILL saying it’s too large. I’ve emptied caches, refreshed the feed in iTunes, etc. but it is STILL showing as “too large.” How long should it take for this to resolve?

    Thanks A TON!

I have also tried whipping and reposting the post altogether. Also, looking at the feed, it’s showing the old file as the “artwork” for the podcast, however, I switch out that file in blubrry yesterday early morning.

    Hello noellecoconuts,

I see episode 62 in your feed. Perhaps it was a caching issue that was just resolved? Now that it is in your feed I would give iTunes 24 hours to update. I will monitor Blubrry as well, blubrry should update in the next 4-8 hours.

I do see on blubrry.com podcast directory we had a timeout error pulling your podcast feed at 20:00 GMT today. Our timeout is set to 15 seconds. It may be that the delay is caused by the website being down for a time period, or having slow performance? Who are you hosting your podcast with?

When manually subscribing to your podcast on iTunes I am able to get your latest episode.

    Hi Angelo!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I DID find the issue. It was with W3 Total Cache. When I turn the caching from Disc: Enhanced to Disc: Basic, it appears. However, the feed now takes a very long time to “validate” and podcast feed validators say that it could cause a problem.

I am still seeing the OLD file in the feed for artwork. Would there be a reason this hasn’t updated yet? It didn’t update when I disabled W3 Total Cache either.

    Thanks!

    Awesome!

Re the artwork in the feed, is this the new artwork or the old artwork? Link: https://coconutsandkettlebells.com/wp-content/uploads/powerpress/PWP_Cover_Image.jpg This is what I see in your feed.
