?Enhancement: Site Icon: Start to deprecate Site Icon in favor of Core’s version (if available)

Please be more descriptive as to what the “deprecation” is referring to in meaning so that website admins will know whether or not they wish to update. Please refer to this description link to understand what I’m asking for and in what tense the word “deprecate” is referring to in the bulleted list and please update the wording on the update details page so that admins will know your intensions. Thank you.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

In this particular case, Jetpack’s Site Icon module will be replaced a similar feature that will be added to WordPress Core in WordPress 4.3.

If you use WordPress 4.3, you’ll be able to use the Site Icon feature included in Core. If you use an earlier version, you’ll be able to use the Site Icon feature included in Jetpack.

In the end, that won’t change much for you: the Site Icon will always be there, and will offer the same functionalities, regardless of how the feature is actually handled on your site.

We’ll try to make this clearer in the next Jetpack release changelog.

    Thanks for the feedback!
