I have this plugin forced into a theme, and even if the template is there, the actual “latest jobs” is missing from the backend. Has anyone got a solution to this? Thank you

Can you clarify what you mean here? You can send us a screenshot(s) if that would illustrate the problem, and/or the URL of your site.

    Hi @arsenalemusica ,

I’m not able to duplicate this on my test site with WPJM and WooCommerce enabled: https://cloudup.com/cp6-5CmNm4N

It’s possible that there might be a conflict with one of your current plugins.

Try disabling all of your plugins except WP Job Manager (and add-ons). Then try testing again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves your issue, you can find what was causing it by enabling each plugin one by one while continuing to test.

it’s not there, not even if I disable everything else. I guess I must try with a new installation but the problem is that the plugin is linked to the theme by default… and if I reinstall it might brake something

That sounds problematic, and is not how WPJM is distributed by default. What is the theme? Some themes bake in their own job boards, which are not compatible with WPJM.

the theme is a directory that allows companies to create jobs. So maybe WPJM it’s not really “hard-coded” in it but surely they have created some sort of dependancies. Yet, I think they didn’t cooked it too much because on installing the theme and activating all the mandatory plugins, I followed the normal WPJM wizard for setting it up.

Glad to hear it, and thanks for the link to the theme. ??

hello again, could you suggest somewhere to investigate? I have made a full re-install of the whole site and still the widget is missing.

…still the widget hasn’t fallen from the blue sky above

    @arsenalemusica ,

Are you using a version of WPJM bundled with the theme, or using the version you download and install from our site?

I’m also wondering if the theme has some sort of job board builtin that may be causing a conflict, if you’re using WPJM downloaded from us.

The plugin came bundled with a premium theme. It was recommended to install but some functionalities uses it (so I don’t understand why it is “recommended” in the first place). In other words, they have built the theme using WPJM as a feature, so they would have spotted a conflict.. I think

What is the version of WPJM listed in your Plugins list? This is a little tricky to troubleshoot, because this is a non-standard installation. I logged into the theme’s demo site and this looks like a customized version of WPJM, so you may want to contact their support for help.

The version is the one that just updated yesterday and the widget template is in its folder. However I just discovered that if I import a different theme demo than the one I’m using, then the widget is in the backend. So Job widgets are conditional to the demo. Crazy. The problem is that having 2 demos will crash my site.

    Hi @arsenalemusica ,

So this is an issue with the theme, but I’m glad to hear you were able to narrow this down! Meaning – the theme is causing the appearance/disappearance of the widget, not WPJM itself.

    I’ll mark this as resolved.

    Best,
