Latest plugin 3.0 Causes WC to break

Have downgraded to previous version for now… seems a similar issue when WC is active causes a fatal error – I anticipate that they are linked.

Having the same issue here. How did you get an older version of the plugin?

Yes there is a issue with WooCommerce right now … the old versions are under https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/geoip-detect/advanced/ > previous versions

I am reverting the Maxmind vendor library for now (3.0.1) until I have worked out a long-term solution with WooCommerce …

WooCommerce is using the composer version now, too. They will release it with v3.9.0 . So when WC 3.9.0 is out, let me know and I will release the new composer version again – and then upgrade both plugins at the same time if you want to be on the sure side.
(I mean you can try updating WC, probably one version will replace the other even if I don’t know which one will “win”, but I’m not 100% confident there won’t be the Fatal Error again.)

Woocommerce 3.9.0 is out, can somebody check if it is compatible with the current GeoIP version, please?

There is no fatal error in the frontend but I can’t find out how to check if everything is working fine …

At some point I will need to update the composer version, not sure how I avoid this breakage at a future point – but anyway, the later i do it, the more users will have updated WooCommerce already. Tracking this on github for now …
