Latest Post separated by ad then more posts

    I am making my first WordPress theme and I would like to have my latest post followed by an advertisement, and then the rest of the posts. How can I create this effect? I don’t want it to do that for every page, just the first one.

    I am new to WordPress, so please explain the procedure. Thanks so much!
