"Latest Posts" does it have a date range filter?

    Background:
    I am working on a blog that was taken down for a while and is now being revived. So it’s been quite a few months since there were any new posts.

    Question:
    In my Reading Settings in the admin panel, it’s set to show Latest Posts and show 25 posts. But on the home page it’s not showing 25 posts. I was wondering is there also a date filter on the posts? IE Only show the last months of posts and up to 25 posts if there are at least 25 posts in the month ….

    It’s possible that your current theme is using a custom query within its index.php template file to limit the posts on the home page but there’s nothing in WordPress core itself that imposes any limits or filters.
